Page Layouts from the Workshop

We had a lovely day yesterday. Good friends, good food (omg, 8 courses prepared by a chef!) and some great layouts done by everyone there. I managed to only get 5 done yesterday, but that's ok, i've got some more ideas for the next big day to get through as many as possible.

This one is my fav. I love this photo of the 3 of us (all of the photos are of Master L, i'm doing his album at the moment) and I am in LOVE with the Creative Memories Puzzle Shape punch. This is the first time i've really had a chance to use it, mine hasn't arrived just yet, but ohh I love it! Can't wait to do some more with it.

These were just a couple of random ideas, just playing around with the Creative Memories Custom Cutting System. Simple yes, but that is the way I like it sometimes :)

I love this photo of Master L, this was the first real smile I managed to catch on camera. I'd been too slow before this LOL he was about 6wks old here.

Oh another fav! We had a photo shoot with all of Mr B's family when we went down for Master L's first Christmas in 2004. This is one of the shots.

Sorry that the photos aren't all that crash hot, need to figure out what settings my darling little Master L has played around with (he thinks he is a professional photographer at times!)

Looking forward to the Workshop i'm doing here on Friday night. My will be my first real workshop at my house! :) :)

What a great day!

Today I had a Tupperware Party to help out a friend of mine who has just become a Demonstrator and what a lovely afternoon. Caught up with some people who I haven't seen in a while and we had enough kids here to keep everyone thoroughly entertained and running around the backyard like crazies LOL Was so nice to just sit for a bit and chat, even if I didn't really get to talk properly to anyone (disadvantage of being the host isn't it LOL). So, to the lovely ladies who read this who came, THANK YOU!!

Tomorrow, ohhh I am soooo looking forward to tomorrow. It's Workshop Day! Seven, yes count it again, SEVEN hours of scrapbooking. Ahh I LOVE these days. I'm all set and ready to whack out as many layouts as possible unlike other times when i've just taken a whole pile of stuff and spent majority of the time umming and ahhing over what to do next. Nope, not tomorrow! I've got plenty of stuff I want to achieve, some of them layouts that I want to be able to teach so need to work out step by step instructions as well.

So, stay tuned as I hope to have some pics up of some layouts that get done tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Trying to get some action

It's time to get some more action happening with my Creative Memories business. My time is ticking for me to qualify properly, and i'm *slightly* starting to worry. So far i've been doing as much as I can without having to spend a fortune (that isn't there yet... YET!) but it doesn't seem like its enough.

I've done a letterbox drop, done one lot of markets - just waiting on the next lot of cheaper stalls to come up on the calendar and I started up a Facebook group (if your on Facebook CLICK HERE ). I've also sent emails and messages to pretty much everyone that I know, but only one of the leads that I had from that has actually turned into anything.

It's hard not to get disheartened, as I enjoy doing this so much and feel that its right but for some reason things just aren't going as well as I really need them to at the moment.

I know, i'm whinging I guess but i'm also throwing it out to anyone who reads this, if you have any ideas on things that I could be doing to get more action happening, PLEASE let me know! I know that people are reading my blog, but it seems that everyone like to lurk and not say hello. Promise I will try not to bite, although i've just finished reading Twilight so hey, I can't promise I won't LOL

Anyone in Brisbane who reads this, if your interested please let me know!!

Aww he's growing up again!

Master P has had a couple of tiny (and I mean TINY) hair trims in the last couple of months, as that was all I could handle at the time. No idea why, but for some reason I felt strongly about not getting his hair cut properly until a few days ago. It all of a sudden got too long and seemed to be annoying him, so on Friday afternoon we headed off to the hair salon that a friend of mine works at and got his hair cut.

This is Master P BEFORE...

DURING...

And AFTER...

He did so well! He just sat there, on Daddy's lap moving his head when he had too. Smiling it up for the camera when I asked him too, and just generally LOVED every second of it!

He also loved every second of the attention after he had finished LOL Blowing kisses, waving bye to Rachel, and then lapping up every bit of attention as we walked around the rest of the shops. Such a funny little guy, he cracks us up!

A Fresh Start

Right, its Sunday. First day of the week (yes, i'm one of those people LOL) so its time for a fresh start with my blog so that I update it more often.

I was finding that it was doing me good getting stuff out, and whilst my blog may not be interesting in the slightest, well its my blog to get my thoughts out - the good and the bad. Whilst I will aim to keep it positive, that is not always going to be the case and you know, i'm ok with that!

So, what's been going on here....

Been an exciting time for me. On the 22nd March, I officially (and finally!) became a Creative Memories Consultant. I am VERY excited about it all, have done a couple of classes, got quite a few orders and managed to put in my first qualifying order within the first 7 days. Still have a bit that I need to achieve in the next 50 odd days, but I am really hoping to achieve it and soon. Going to do a letter box drop with a friend of mine next week so that I can get my name 'out there' and try to get some more classes and workshops happening. So, if you know of anyone (or you yourself!) who enjoys scrapbooking or wants to start, in the Brisbane area send them my way would you.

Mr B isn't having the greatest time at the moment. Issues with his ex, that after a couple of days resulted in a phone call with many apologies for all that has gone on over the years. Amazing really since it was something that we didn't think would ever happen. It has caused a major upheaval again of his emotions and trying to process lies and stories that he had been told is not an easy thing to do. He has also been having a few problems at work over the last week with the store manager *sighs*. We are hoping that things can be sorted out until such times as he can secure another job. So the fun process of job hunting is on again.

But in saying all that, life is still good. We have both turned a corner with some things, and the path, whilst its a little unsettled right now, is still flowing in a straight line. I'm reminded of that song Things Can Only Get Better, and they will!
